About Dr. Nick Jain
Dr. Nick Jain is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon whose compassionate, individualized approach to adult degenerative spinal care comes through in his minimally invasive techniques and motion preservation surgeries. Recognizing that there’s no one-size-fits-all method to treatment, he analyzes each patient’s whole picture in determining what will yield the best possible outcome.
Dr. Jain also prides himself on finding new ways to help his patients. Actively involved in clinical research and emerging technologies, he is skilled in leading-edge, minimally invasive treatments like basivertebral nerve ablation, which is often a game-changer for chronic low back pain sufferers. And because education goes both ways, Dr. Jain keeps his patients well-informed about their injuries, conditions and treatment options, empowering them to play an active role in creating customized care plans around their individual needs and lifestyles.
Dr. Jain graduated from Stanford University with honors and then returned home to UC Irvine for his medical degree, internship and residency training in orthopedic surgery. He then completed a combined orthopedic and neurosurgical spine fellowship at the University of Southern California Spine Center with a focus on both nonsurgical and surgical treatment options for adult neck and back spine conditions.
Committed to the advancement of spine care, Dr. Jain has authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles about spine conditions and surgical techniques. He is also an active member of multiple professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AOSpine and the North American Spine Society.
Dr. Jain’s own active lifestyle has undoubtedly influenced his compassion for patients. When he is not returning mobility to someone in pain, he is a foodie who enjoys playing golf, traveling, snowboarding and spending time on the beach with his wife (oculoplastic surgeon Dr. Amy Jain) and son.
